Many here will remember the much missed reprints I am sure. I grabbed lots but with my eclectic (butterfly!) tastes I failed to get some which I now wish I had. Has anybody got any of the Boxer Rising ones they would be prepared to scan/photocopy and send me please? Happy to pay costs. Specifically – The Capture of the Taku Forts by Lt MYAKISHEV (tr 1901) and The Official Report of the Russian Landing Parties from the Battleships Navarin and Sissol Veliki in Peking from the 18th (21st) May to 2nd (15th) August 1900 by Baron von Raden (tr 1901). 32pp The Foreign Contingents in China by Major H V Cox (1902) 16pp Thanks Botch |

Ok I'll try a different tack – anybody got access to the RUSI Journal? The Myakishev article is in it: The Capture of the Taku Forts. Lieut Myakishev. Royal United Services Institution. Journal Volume 45, Issue 280, 1901 pages 730-744. Not clear if the other Russian piece is in the same issue. Not often this forum is stumped for an answer! |
