I used to play Flames of War here in Birmingham, but all the groups seem have dried up completely. I am looking for anyone nearby-ish who plays any WWII era miniature wargames be it Flames of War, Bolt Action or any other ruleset. I really want to get back into the hobby again and 40k is not really my thing being so much into history. I was really thinking about selling off my 40k army to fund something closer to my interests if I could find anyone to play with here. thanks! |

Don't know about Birmingham, but in Huntsville there is a pretty active bunch playing FOW. There is usually a game or two going on Sunday at The Foundry. |

The Mobile area has at least two active groups, FoW on Thursdays at Gamer's and Geeks, and Bolt Action at MiniWargames in Fairhope. |

Last I checked, BA was pretty active in Auburn. Not that it's all that close by. Is there no action going on at that place in downtown Leeds? |

I live in the Sylacauga area just south of Birmingham. I like FOW, but had just started picking up the rules when Bud's Place stopped servicing the game. I spent several weeks painting up a Soviet army, and when I returned to the store all the FOW stuff was gone. I am not a Magic, or 40K fan at all, and so I have not been back. Birmingham as far as I know is a dead zone for historical gaming. I only know of one store that carries a small selection of FOW. It's located on Lorna Road, but I forgot the name. Would be interested in a game if you would like. |

I don't have an army anymore at this moment, but when I do I'd be down for games. What period is your Soviet Army? |

Mid to Late War. I also have a German army and US Army, and both are mid to late war. The Americans are something of a work in progress, but are functional. PM me if you would like to see them. I'm not a good painter, so be warned. |

Just a suggestion
check out WWPD.NET and under the community tab you can use the player finder to locate players in your vicinity. Charles M. |

Sprad, I don't think I can PM you on this site, but you can email me at panzerivb@gmail.com . I'd love to see pictures, I have painted several armies in the past (unfortunately don't have one anymore), but I'm trying to decide which army to build now. |

I've gotten a few people interested in playing now, be sure to email me if anyone is looking for more people to play with! |
