Any updated intel on good gaming shops in London? I am going on holiday and am hoping to browse for rules and historical miniatures off all periods.

Cheers

Viper Guy,

The websites for the shops mentioned by MajorB are:

Orcs Nest: orcsnest.com
Leisure Games: leisuregames.com
Dark Sphere: darksphere.co.uk

When will you be in London? As the Exiles club meets on Thursday evenings not too far from the Dark Sphere shop is you wanted to stop by for a game. Check our website to see what we will be playing in the coming weeks: link

There are also any number of GW outlets.

For the world's greatest city we are shockingly short of major games stores.

I think you still have more than most major US cities. Not that our lack is anything by which to measure.

Well, of course, when we say we have gaming shops, bear in mind that none of them have very much in the way of historical miniatures except stuff like the Perry or Warlord boxed sets.

All,
Thank you very much. Now while my wife does her shopping, maybe I can do mine! Ezza, a wonderful offer. I might try to make it this Thursday if you don't mind a Yank.

Cheers

Viper Guy,

For the Exiles, we normally start to meet up at around 6.30pm-7pm in the Crown and Cushion pub. See the website for a map, we are close to Waterloo and Lambeth North stations.

Once you get to the pub head towards the bar, to your left is a fireplace and to the left of that is a door that leads down to the basement where we game.

Don't worry about being a Yank turning up for a game, we have had a a few turn up before.

Viper Guy,

There is also the Ian Allan shop very close to Waterloo station: link

Mainly books and plastic kits, but also a few sets of rules and historical figures.

So you could do Ian Allan and Dark Sphere, as they are both within walking distance of each other and then head to the Exiles for a game.

FoW stuff is available in Romford – 20 mins out of Liverpool Street.

And Hockley (or is that Hadleigh?) has a good games "shop" (industrial unit really)
