Hi all,
With the completion of the second battalion of the 2nd Nassau Regiment in Spain, I am one step closer to completing the orders of battle for Talavera.

Jon,
You've done a lovely job with some fairly mediocre starting material. Any reason you chose the Warmodelling figures rather than the alternatives?

Great looking unit! I am currently expanding my British in 6mm for a Peninsular "campaign",and(as a Bonapartist)am kinda bored of painting red and grey. This unit will make a great diversion!

Hi Malc,

Thank you. I have gone for the Warmodelling figures because I there is something about them that really captures the campaign look that I wanted. They also seem to work well alongside AB which I am happy to add in where appropriate, such as a personality figure like a Colonel or in this case the officer on the front of the command stand.

They take a bit of working as I am regularly replacing Colour staffs and I have had to do a bit of prep work on the Dutch which I will go through when they're done. I hope I have demonstrated that these are a range to include alongside the others and as you know I use Xan, AB, Warmoddeling and Campaign Game Miniatures as I think they all bring something to the overall look of the armies and generally work well alongside each other.

There has never been a better time to get into Napoleonics in 18mm in my humble opinion.

I'm interested to see what you do with the Dutch as they are a real problem – Warmodelling are the only option out there in the larger sized 15mm unless you want to do conversion work.
