So I am watching on H2 one of those "Could it be that?" shows about living dinosaurs on the Cameroon Congo border. While one of the natives (who is wearing a blue denim jean jacket) is sketching in the dirt a picture of a likely looking animal, the narrator is assuring us that "the locals have virtually no contact with the outside world." Everyone is wearing WalMart like clothing. Their dugout canoes have chains in the bow and outboard motors. Yup. Very little contact. |

I'd imagine it's missionaries that bring them their clothes. they did say "Virtually" and not "absolutely" no contact. |

Or they could mean in the First-World-centric view of no TV, radio or (gasp!) internet. They probably didn't even notice the clothing as it fits in with their world view. |

"Everyone is wearing WalMart like clothing." Which will probably disappear as soon as the National Geographic photographer shows up and insists on them wearing "native garb" for his photo shoot
. :p |

I thought all the "Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos" t-shirts went to Honduras this year. |
