Hi guys, As the title suggests i'm looking for the best 10mm ACW range as i'm thinking of dipping my toes. I'm interested in your opinions but if any of you have pics showing details that would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Darrell. There are so many good choices in 10mm ACW! Bill's Cracker Line miniatures is probably the best single line, especially if you are counting his merging with the old Starfort (now Plank Road) miniatures. Cracker Line are superb sculpts, and the range is expanding fairly quickly. If you are in the UK, the new Pendraken line is also very good, and even more extensive at the moment. Cracker Line is on the "small" side of 10mm, Pendraken is pretty much in the middle but tends towards large becuse of the space the poses take up. So, Cracker Line mixes well with GHQ, for instance (previously the top contender), while Pendraken would mix better with larger figures like Blaze Away. Kallistra is essentially a scale all to its self – it doesn't match with other 10mm (too large), or even smaller 15mm figures. They are nice, but you are stuck with just them. Cheers, Christopher |

I'm in the US and Pendraken have great service to here. Love their figures. Old Glory have great artillery, |

These are worth a look: link They appear to mix well with proper 10mm (Pendraken, Crackerline etc). Kallistra are too big for 10mm but still a good looking range. |

I found the Cracker Line easier to paint than I expected from 10mm. I chalk it up to the well defined sculpts. I can paint them by the dozens

[/URL] Crappy picture, I know, but you get the idea of what Cracker Line can do. P.S. ACW Bill is very responsive and has even cherry picked figures for me before. So, thumbs up there. |

Gentlemen, just FYI I ordered some Blaze Away to do a side by side with my own two lines. They are not compatible, Blaze Away being far bigger and chunkier. If you go with Blaze Away, and they are very nice as well, I would go with Magister Militum or the OLD Pendraken to mix. They are a bit smaller than B.A., but will look OK with them. They are a bit larger than CL and PR, but will mix OK for Inf and Cav. Artillery is another issue and I did not order any B.A. Arty. My lines mix best with the new Pendraken stuff. |

ACW Bill is correct about Blaze Away
They will work well with the old Pendraken but not so much with the new Pendraken 10mm ACW line. Duane |

Yep – but the Blaze Away casualty, running away, surrendering, and stretcher bearer figures can still work as great markers. |
