I'm traveling through Eastern Idaho, all of Montana, middle of Wyoming,Colorado (Fort Collins-Denver-Grand Junction), Utah (SLC-then south).
Any GREAT Wargame Hobby Shops along the way?
I like:
28mm Napoleonic
WW2 in 1/285 and 28mm
Some board games

Thanks

We have 2 FLGS, both good but quite different from each other in Idaho Falls, ID, which I'm thinking might be along your path.

The first is A-Street games, small one man operation, very friendly, focus more on GW, but carries bolt action and lots of board games. A lot of board gaming in the store most evenings, but especially Friday and Saturdays. The second is Gameopolis. Also, friendly, great at custom orders, lots of well stocked gaming tables. Focus on Warmachine and also board games, no GW at all, gives a cash discount on in-store purchases.

If you are passing through I.F. I'd definitely suggest a stop by either or both. For a town our size I think we're spoiled for having two great gaming locations.

Nothing of note IN Wyoming, sad to say. Several general Game stores between Fort Collins and the Denver area. I believe all of the Montana stores are in the Helena and Missoula area (Billings has on mostly Comic store). Of these I don't think any would have an Micro-Armor or Napoleonic lead.

If you are my way, drop a note.

For Montana,
Missoula has Muse – GW, comics, and a smattering of board games.
Bozeman has Rooks, complete GW, Warmachine, and a bit of Flames of War. Best selection in a very backwater state.

I'll second Saber6, best bet is in the Fort Collins and Denver area.

And of course, always happy to game if you are passing through.

If you make it all the way out to Boise, All About Games on Overland (right off I-84, too!). GW, Warmahordes, Malifaux, Reaper, smattering of Flames of War.

What's in the Fort Collins-Denver area?

Really need to do a search. I think there are @ 8 stores from Fort Collins to just south of Denver. Also Stone Mountain Miniatures is in the area. Meant of the GW shops are open "strange" hours too

Denver still has a few stores kicking around, as far as I remember, though I'm now up near the Boulder area and haven't been down to any Denver shops recently. Total Escape is down the road from me and I venture in there once or twice a month, mostly for paint. Not sure on Fort Collins as I'm not familiar with that city.

Here's a post that goes into a bit more detail of what's left for brick and mortar stores in the greater Denver area. Attactix was one of the best shops Denver had for a long time, but sadly it closed around 3-4 years ago. Valhalla's also had some good gaming space and inventory, but it's no longer in business.

Colorado Springs has Gamer's Haven, one of my old stomping grounds from high school and college, but it's about an hour's drive south of Denver.

Thanks for all of the information. Whenever I try to do a search, I always get Hobby Lobby or train stores or doll house shops; hardly ever a good hit on a store that I really want to go to.
My last great hit was the Last Hussar in OK (or there abouts). Awesome selection of books. And he gave me a lead to another good gaming store.
Alas, the B&M stores are almost all gone…
