Dentatus did a great job with his 28 mm scifi vehicle comparisons recently, so I thought that I would do more to help. Unfortunately, I do not have unpainted and built vehicles laying around, so I dug up some unpainted and unbuilt vehicles so that you could get an idea of whether a particular vehicle is worth purchasing. I wish that I had these sorts of comparisons available when I was purchasing some of the vehicles I have, but no one had done them. Anyway, here are fourteen vehicles from various manufacturers that Dentatus did not have in his comparison.
The vehicle on the left is an AT-43 Oni Medium Tank, the vehicle to the right of it is a Games Workshop Leman Russ Tank, the vehicle to the right of it is a Junkers Dune Buggy by Scotia Grendel, and the large tan vehicle in parts is an Epiccast baneblade.
The vehicle on the left is a Spore Launcher from the Kryomek line of Scotia Grendel, the vehicle to the right of it is a wheeled tank from the Nexus line from Scotia Grendel, the vehicle to the right of that is a hover APC, also from the Nexus line from Scotia Grendel, and the tan vehicle in parts is a Scorpion Battle Tank from Armorcast.
The vehicle in parts on the left is a Cyclops Hades Grav Tank from the Void line by Scotia Grendel, the vehicle to the right of it is a Tau Mk III also from Scotia Grendel, the vehicle(s) to the right of that are the Ronin also from Scotia Grendel. I have only pictured one of the chassis, but all of the metal parts for the Riot vehicle, the APC, and the Heavy Assault vehicle are shown. The parts at the top are for the APC, the parts in the middle are for the Heavy Assault vehicle, and the parts at the bottom are for the Riot vehicle. Lastly, at the bottom right is a Sentry Robot from Armorcast.
The parts on the left half of the picture are for two different tanks, however I have only shown one of the chassis since they are almost the same. The turret and parts to the left of the chassis is for the Merkava Mk VII, and the turret on the right is for the Busephalus. The tank on the right half of the photo are for the Novaya-Rus Skorpion Light Grav Tank. All three of these tanks are from Antenociti's Workshop. I hope that this is helpful to those of you looking for scifi vehicles. More pics and also a comparison of some toys are available on my blog at otherworldminiatureslab.blogspot.comThanks |

Does Armourcast still make that Scorpion tank? |

You are quite welcome Feet up now. I don't like plugs, but if you get a chance to check out the toy vehicles I have on the blog, it is worthwhile. kidbananas, Armourcast is an interesting place – my understanding is that they have retained their molds and rotate their products, but I have been waiting for about two years, and I have not seen the Sentry Robot return. I looked about a week ago, and saw one of the vehicles, but have just looked now and I can not find it. Interestingly, the thumbnail for their vehicles is a picture of an APC called a Scarab which I have been waiting many years to purchase. The Heavy Rail Gun they have available is the same rail gun on the Scorpion, but the chassis is not available. |

Thank you for posting the comparison pics. That Junkers dune buggy is awesome! Where can I get one, I'm not seeing it available on the scotia-grendel website

Useful comparison, much appreciated. By the way, that second vehicle from the left in the third picture is actually a TAV Mk III (not "Tau"). |

StarfuryXL5, yes, I apologize, you are of course correct. It is the TAV MkIII. I also wanted to add photos of Khurasan's Caiman and Bobcat to get an idea of how large they are. The miniatures are not in the photos, but the cutting surface is the same as the other photos and has a one inch by one inch grid.

jpattern2, you are welcome. If it is helpful for you, then I have achieved my goal. Dentatus, you are to blame for all of this because of your recent comparison. I agree with you, the Caiman is an excellent piece, but so is the Bobcat. I think that everything that Khurasan makes in this scale is exceptional. But honestly, if I had nothing and was looking to buy, I would choose the Bucephalus. Just realized I have been spelling it incorrectly. |
