At the club we had a short test game using 6mm figures with
BFWWII rules. The game was all right. As for measurements, centimetres for firing and inches for movement. This makes the game playable without getting stuck in detail, to play on a good size table, and avoid too many turns just for movement yet still allow for positioning.
The first lot of 6mm figures I did were infantry, Heroics & Ros, with the wrong paint and unsuitable ground effect. They are to be replaced but I learnt a lot.
Putting the knowledge to use and taking a risk with 'unsuitable' paint, I discovered how to paint 6mm with what paints, brushes and materials. A first batch of GHQ figures was painted and based. On one occasion I used a varnish that formed lumps on the paint so I had a frantic rush to clean the figure down to the metal before it dried.
I did a second batch of GHQ figures with a video of my hard won secrets. The video will be posted on YouTube because I'm a complete beginner with no artistic talent and the results are actually competent club gaming standard.

I would have thought you'd keep all the measurements in inches. Ground scale in these rules is 1" = 40 yards, or 1:1440, so 1:300 figures are a lot closer to the correct ground scale than 15mm.
Why did you change the scale?

I was only wondering the other day how 6mm would play with those rules. Did you take any pics or write up a bst rep?

I play Battlefront WWII in 6mm, but I use the 15mm scale of 1" = 40 yards and it plays very well.
