I've seen this kickstarter and I have to say that the product is just gorgeous and very, very well designed and thought out. As a designer, producer and retailer of my own line of paper products I can appreciate the amount of work that goes into something like this. I'm also rather envious because (and please don't think that I am criticizing in any way) the money being raised by the kickstarter must be going pretty much entirely to pay the designer for his time. I mean he's selling these as PDFs, so he doesn't have to deliver any physical product, just the electronic files. I've been in business for ten years and my sales have been amazingly good, but even so I will NEVER, ever, get paid back for the time I've put into the products even if I was only paying myself minimum wage. To get a sizable influx of money just to pay me for my time
Maybe I ought to try this myself

I keep trying to be interested, but I can't. I already have so much papercraft fantasy terrain and so little to do with it. I can't actually say much for Zsezse structural models, as I have none, but the maps are quite useful and high-quality. Also is it intended for on-the-fly modularity, or just as a multi-part kit for permanent custom creations? If the former, I have serious issues with it as the medium will NOT take that, no matter what the likes of Worldworks and Fat Dragon try to tell you, it does not work. The best one can do for such functionality is corridor systems, particularly those which do not physically have to lock together. Sorry, but I have to cast a scrutinous eye over new terrain purchases, especially with my collection growing and ability to use it shrinking. |

Chironex, I'm the owner of PaperTerrain paperterrain.com Historical stuff rather than fantasy (with a dash of SF thrown in) and I only sell the printed product, not downloads. |
