I don't hang around TMP as much as I used too but I still drop in ever now and then. So I was kinda surprised when I made this post today, TMP link And some guy just flat out says he has to laugh at it because it has the white Allied Star on it. Is this the way things are around here now? I would never tell any one who took the time or trouble to share their pictures that their work was laughable. Have I missed something on TMP? Coabeous |

I think the "larfter" was at the concept of a white star recognition symbol as an anachronism, not your paint job (which I might add is quite well done). In other words I believe he meant, "steam powered Victorian sci-fi tanks are believable, but putting a white star on them is silly." |

He probably had a bit of a "larf" at himself for even considering the "white star" being anachronistic on "steam powered Victorian sci-fi tanks". |

Don't take it too hard – why a fantasy tank in a science-fantasy setting shouldn't have a white star on it I can't fathom. Maybe they're run by the White Star Line – who knows ? I doubt it was really meant to be too harsh in any case. |

Consider the source. I THINK he is one of a veritable plethora of soc puppets for one obnoxious dude. This is one (I THINK) that has not been banned yet. |

I wouldn't worry about it. Like Patton, shoot the , toss it off the bridge and keep your column moving. |

Kinda surprised you care enough to start a new thread about it. If that level of criticism (I.e. Practically non-existent) bothers you, the Internet may not be for you. |

Yes especially as everyone piled in to support you
really this is nothing. I was hounded out of a forum for making a weak joke about Bavarians liking sausages! |

It happens occasionally. Sometimes by some people. But mostly, not. |

Sparker, You got tossed off a forum for joking about Bavarians liking sausage? I've been there, twice. Lived there for four years altogether. Bavarians love sausage. They have many varieties of such. I think they've got a sausage to match each of their many beers. And good for them. Mind you, I'm sure you said something more colorful than just that. But I'm sure it was put forth in a humorous way. Some folks

Well, it certainly didn't keep me awake last night. It was the rudeness of it and I was really curious what the collective minds of TMP thought about such comments. I only have one word on the Bavarian sausage discussion, Bacon. Coabeous All Quiet in the Lone Star State |

It was the rudeness of it and I was really curious what the collective minds of TMP thought about such comments. This mind (by no means collective or assembled) thinks you might be being a bit precious. The comment in question was praising your work and enjoyed your use of the star, to quote that famous 20th century philosopher. Good Grief
