In my house, we put 'em in the freezer to teach them a lesson. |

I once read about someone melting offending dice in the microwave. And he made the other dice "watch" in order to remind them to behave. |

A friend came back from a dismal showing at an ASL tourney and smashed his dice in a bench vise. |

Sometimes I pull them out and rank them up. I then take a hammer and "commissar" one of the dice. I make the other dice watch. |

I love Kenzer & Company's Hackmaster Sometimes I pull them out and rank them up. I then take a hammer and "commissar" one of the dice. I make the other dice watch. That is a classic. Teach 'em a lesson |

I once torched some Las Vegas casino dice. It was scary how flammable they were. :o |

I tried to execute one once. Didn't think to make the others watch. When I tried to hit the offending die with a hammer, the evil thing bounced up and nailed my thumb – still have the scars |

Sounds like the author could have been a box man on a craps game. In my time in the business I've seen salt thrown on the table, walking round the table seven times anti clockwise, dice changed after a hot roll (despite them being checked for irregularities), stickmen told to deliberately hook a dice off the table so we could swap them out for a fresh set. We even had a book where we recorded how the dice performed, 'great result, use again!' etc. Punters are allowed to be superstitious, it's good for business, but when the lunatics start running the asylum
.. It's very unlucky to be superstitious. |

Sometimes showing my dice a big hammer is enough to scare them into action. |
