Sidney Joseph Marshall, a RAF Lancaster gunner with 28 sorties, passed away ten days ago on 16 June. He is a widower and none of his relatives live locally, and most of them are too frail to travel. A plea has been sent out to serving or retired service personnel to attend his funeral on 4th July.
