I know they were free for a while on the GW website. I know they are no longer available for download. Is there any other place that might store them? Or am I forced to look on ebay? I have the Warmaster rulebook and Armies book. I understand GW made rules changes for Ancients that fixed a few problem areas, especially cavalry. Thanks |

Ancients had a few improvements, but it came with a crop of its own problems. There have been amendments (also found on the link above) to address the issues – most of which revolved around skirmishers. |

Lots of useful interesting stuff. But I can't find the actual WM Ancients Rules. Can a kind soul point the way? |

I don't think they're available as a pdf. Not legally anyway. You're stuck with EBay I think. |

I have a 10 year old copy of AncientMaster which is clearly a variant of Warmaster. But is it the same as Warmaster Ancients? |

There's almost always a copy of Warmaster Ancients for sale on ebay. If you don't find one, just wait awhile. |

Last time I looked, they were pretty pricey on eBay. You may want to consider Hail Caesar. Doug |

Hail Caesar is sort of a second edition of these rules. |

Hail Caesar is also out of stock at Warlord Games, presumably the publisher? |

How different is Hail Caesar from WMA,would I need to rebase? Or make units bigger? |

Hail Caesar is also out of stock at Warlord Games, presumably the publisher? Caliver Books appear to have HC in stock. link How different is Hail Caesar from WMA,would I need to rebase? Or make units bigger? No, your existing units will work fine with HC. |

Usually, four warmaster stands make one unit for HC. Orders phase is very similar in both rulesets but not the combat and morale. Personally I prefer Warmaster because of that. Actually I play Warmaster Ancients with the orders phase from HC. You can see a HC battle using Warmaster armies in my blog: link Cheers, |

Blacksmith thanks for that, I was thinking of trying to strap the Black Powder command system, Phil |

Hail Caesar is also out of stock at Warlord Games, presumably the publisher? Warlord Games is indeed the publisher for Hail Caesar. The HC rulebook appears to be currently in stock for the US webstore: link |
