I was looking at the old glory 15s website, and saw some franks i may want to field
. Im not sure how i feel about the appearance of the models. I like the price, but am unsure about the quality. Pictures rarely do justice. How have your experiences with old glory 15s been? Not juat the models, but the customer service and shipping. Let me know what you think Thanks Austin |

Nothing but praise for the customer service. As far as the figures go, I very much like the Old Glory cavalry. Some of the infantry poses can be a little repetitive, but nothing that bending a limb here and there won't help, and I always like to mix in a few troops from other manufacturers as well. Some of my favourite units are a mixture of OG 15s and Magister Militum's (Chariot) range, such as these chaps here:
In my experience you can't go wrong with OG, and they always paint up better than you think they are going to. Cheers, Aaron |

I have painted two or three hundred of their ancients and Biblicals: I think they paint up well. They are certainly a good value for the cost. IMO, a great 15mm casting is not any better than a good 15mm casting when you put them on the table. |

All in all OG are pretty good and some ranges are excellent. Hard to beat their Marian Romans for example. Quality wise OG are among the more consistent outfits. |

if you have the inclination/time/patience replacing the cast on spears with harder ones is a good idea, but, not essential. hope youre pleased with them cheers john |

Old Glory 15s are good figures and as stated paint up nice and have good detail. And you cannot beat the price. |

Most of my 15mm early imperial Roman figures are Old Glory 15s as are their Germanic-style enemies. I like them very much and they combined well with my Corvus Belli and Essex figures. Mine are store-bought so I have not had any direct contact with company though much of what I have was special ordered by the store I was using and they never seemed to have any problems. You can see my collection in diorama form at link |

I think they paint up very well.
I like to mix my warbands, and in this period, they mix well with Essex, Gladiator and Chariot.

I have many armies built on their range, I use OG15s for say 90% of an army then add figures from a few more expensive ranges. |

Very nice, Twilights Samurai. What paint do you use for the axe handles and spear shafts? It's very effective. |

I am really happy with my OG15 Republican Romans (Polybian). I like the character of the figures and the price point is also good. |

I'm going to also buy their Latins for my WAB samnite wars armies
as well as their republican romans Thanks Austin |

As you can see from Twilight Samurai's photos, if you want to go all out with the painting it's possible to achieve superb results, but the pose combinations and detail are such that even a good painting standard will look great at standard viewing ranges. Before my group got into 28mm Arthurian and we bought masses of Saxons in that size, I had a long term plan to amass 15mm late Romans and a horde of late Germans of various nations using OG 15s. Within the ancients range there's a number of sub-ranges of mid-late Germans, most of which can be mixed to produce almost endless variety. |

I did a count of the infantry variants, and by combining all the OG 15s Germans (except of course the earlies), including the Anglo-saxon medium infantry (the heavies won't mix due to their later-style helmets), you have 76 poses! And that's not counting command figures. And as noted above, if that's not enough variety you can always throw in some Essex or other compatible brands. |

I think they are good figures. IMO our later Germans mix well with them too. |

I've only had experience with their 15s, but quite like them. They always look much better with paint than in the bare metal. Good value. Here's an in-game pic of some of their phalangites.
