Howdy folks,

Had the chance to post an update to the blog before months end…some pics of two Battlefront 15mm UH-1B hogs.

Cheers.

I may be able to provide you with a Col Kilgore mini. I have a bunch of QRF's cavalry horses, and the horse holders are all wearing slouch hats. I only need 2 for my COL Kilgores, and I have 8-10 of them.

drop me a line at this username (without spaces) at Gmail dot com.

Thanks for the feedback. David, I'll check out PP, thanks. Lion, would you happen to remember which blister the holders came from so I can take a look, thank you.

Cheers gents.

Lovely stuff. If you just want a doughboy hat and to do a head swap Peter Pig does them in the Heads and odds range. If you just want one or two get in touch and I'll post you a couple.

Thank you for the link Lion. Thanks for the PP heads up (horrible pun intended). I've elected to go with the US Characters from PP for one main reason…the offers of assistance were GREATLY appreciated, but I now have an excuse to order a couple of other blisters to fill in some small holes in a couple of other projects…

Thank you folks.

Always nice to find a reason to buy more! Keep us updated.

Forgot to say; I like you're window /cockpit colour choice. Was it your favourite colour scheme that you have used across a range? Interested as I have a number of 15mm choppers that need painting and can't decide.

Excellent!

BTW you can order the newer flight stands and newer plastic rotors from BF special order. Much better than the originals as you note.

I retrofitted all of my orginal release choppers that way!

Cheers, VB

*snicker*

Yeah, I hear that… I keep growing lists of things I plan on buying from various companies when I make the next order. Some of those lists have grown frighteningly long…

@Lead Mountain, thank you. I think it is my favourite colour scheme and I plan on keeping with it. Hueys scream OD…the main cockpit needs those subtle colour changes and their are enough variances out there to allow some variances, even within the same unit and era. I was stuck for quite some time on how to do windows, but I found a good simple technique that worked and then refined it when I painted up the Scouts and their Loaches.

@VB, how did the retrofit process go for you? Did you have to drill out any extra space? I have not yet attempted it but I do like the new stands very much.

@Lion, thanks for feeling my pain, lol…

Take care.
