For anyone interested in the FPW, stop by at GMT Games, and have look at their Metz 1870: At any Cost P500 game. For those not familiar with GMT's P500 concept, they put up a game in development, and if 500 people sign up to buy the finished product, then it moves to production. This game has 300 buyers so far, and looks very interesting, although it is obviously at an early stage. As there is generally so little for us mid 19th Century guys, I thought I would bring it to your attention.

Ten days later, only seven more commitments. At this rate, only another eight months before we begin progress towards production. hmmm!

Just my opinion, but the counters look hideous.

The counters do look awful, but they are just placeholders showing the information on the counters at the moment. Several 500 game proposals have the 'same' artwork.

GMT and Roger McG. would never allow something like that to be actually published…

393 – only 107 to go!

Now seem to be stuck on 439, one last push for that extra 61 orders. Come on, you know we can do it!

Ask them to produce some camera ready artwork and I'll place an order; the kit they're offering at present isn't worth the pledge, sorry.

I don't think the counters look that bad. I like the unit images on them. As soon as I can log back on to the GMT website, I will sign up. Thanks for the heads up Mollinary.

We now seem to be stalled on 455. Only 45 away from success. It is clear from the entries on COMSIMWORLD that the artwork on the final counters will be very different from that currently up on the site, and a basic version of the rules has now been made available. This remains an exciting opportunity to explore FPW with an innovative system, which has lots of potential for development throughout the period. Come on, you know you want to!

PS I have no commercial interest in this whatsoever!

Oh Calamity!

We have actually gone down to 454!

And up to 458 :)

And now stand at 497! Only three more commitments needed – come on guys, we are almost there.
