Hi, I am looking for back packs to convert some ACW figures to early war. Any idea where I can get them? |

Perry ACW plastics? Usually lots of spare backpacks in there. |

Dexter, I searched Perry ACW sprues on line and didn't see any back packs
.do you know which box the back packs were in? |

None of the Perry ACW plastics have separate backpacks. |

I know the Foundry line has some ACW standing with Kepi and Backpack. The back packs are a seperate piece. Do know for sure if you can get them. |

Ghost, If you don't mind using plastic, Warlord's 28mm plastic Napoleonic British Line have five figures on each sprue, and each has a separate backpack, with attached canteen, cartridge box, and blanket roll. I've picked up some of these sprues when they've had sales with the same idea to someday add them to Union infantry figures without backpacks. Looks like they'll work well. |

Those Napoleonic British knapsacks are not anything like ACW knapsacks unless you don't care about this sort of thing. Don |

It's not that I don't care
..it is that I haven't found any back packs yet for my early war ACW figures! |

I emailed Chris Hughes from Sash and Saber, he neither casts nor sells a separate ACW backpack. |

Victrix Napoleonic figures come with separate backpacks, but I don't know how good a match Napoleonic backpacks are for ACW ones. |

Can't you make them out of the blue/green stuff, there can't be that much detail to replicate. |

I guess I could sculpt them
..I am just a little daunted by the 'squareness' of the packs: [URL=http://s134.photobucket.com/user/Huck1863/media/4th_AL_Up_Alabamans.jpg.html]

I would take a couple Perry metals and make a mold of the backpack without blanket roll and with balnket role, then cast as many as you need. |
