I picked this print up at a garage sale. My Google fu has failed me, any idea on the name of this print? Value?

Thanks in advance.

The title is "Concert Aux Avant Postes". De Neuville did it as a color oil painting and as an engraved print, which you have. Prints were often issued in numbers, but I have not seen this offered too frequently. I have seen a price of 149 Euros ($200) on an example in excellent condition.

This is a very nice print, which shows the moments of humor and also the boredom of war. (Note the officer gets the sofa) It is thought the possible location of the scene was the outskirts of Neuilly or Billancourt in the Republican phase of the war in 1871.

Its a gem. Treat it well.

Thanks very much!!
I bought it for $2.00 USD
Although I'm not sure it's an actual engraved print.
I Googled the name and found a print for sale which seems much larger.
Mine 11.5" x 7.5".
It could possibly just be a copy from somewhere?

Yes. Sorry I didn't ask about size. It could very well be taken from a book and not original. It appears that most originals were in a 24x15 format. It looks as if it has a simple mat, you might look inside for any additional info that might be on the edge of the image or on the reverse.

Love De Neuville's work! Inspired me to game the Franco Prussian War for many years now. Thanks for sharing!
