I was really inspired by the gent that posted his great Wuertemberg Army that he did in a couple of months, and so I took a deep breath and was painting these in 2 days.

2 companies of the von Loew und Prinz Anton Regiments that will later be amalgamated with the Koenig und Steindel Companies to form the Von Sperl Grenadiers.

Will you paint some Brunswick Grenadiers for me for my American War for Independence – Saratoga project?

Thanks a lot!

They're 28mm – and sorry, I barely have enough time to paint for myself.

Really nice figures!

If you ever find yourself wanting to paint some German soldiers touring upper New York with General "Gentleman Johnny" Burgoyne in 1777, I hope you will let me know.

I'd love having some of your figures marching alongside mine.

I don't know much about the Saxons in the Napoleonic Wars. What are the markings for grenadiers? I see a red pompom, and short sword and bayonet, but don't the main line troops also have the short sword and bayonet?

What makes these "grenadiers?"

Hello GdP,

I attached an Image of a colour-plate I made.
The first two rows show line musketeers and the last line Grenadiers.

The most notable differences are the crooked saber, the grenades on Ammo pouch and coat-flaps, and the red tshacko Applications.
