I've been squirreling away 1/72 stuff over the years, and I've finally painted some – a British infantry platoon. I'm pleased with the way these have turned out because they are my first foray into the scale since I was a kid… link

They came out very nice. The size difference is not noticeable in the group shots.

Thanks. So long as you stay with only a couple of mm in size difference, the individual basing hides the difference.

I've painted the chaps in trousers from the Revell Scottish 8th Army in NW Europe colours and they look good enough for me and add a little variety to the troops. I like the Revell figs in the MK III helmet as they are the only plastics that have this. Nice paint job on your figs and thanks for posting.

Thanks. Another thing about the Revell British that I forgot to mention is that some are in the leather jerkin, which makes the figures very useful if you want a bit of variety. The Caesar British Infantry set has a Scottish officer.

Nice collective of figures and different makes, they sit together real well

Nice Figures Hrldplmr, and good to see you based them on the Somerset Light Infantry, as a Ex-Light Infantryman.."good on ya"

I have two companies of British Light Infantry in 1/72 scale based on the Durham LI and the Kings own Yorkshire LI.

I've just finished a German infantry platoon to oppose my Brits, and I'm happy with the way they turned out too…
