G'Day …

I am looking for a decent kit for a jeep in 1/72nd scale to go with my Revell US Troops. I has to be fairly easy to build. Also i am after a 57mm a/t gun in the same scale. I have tried the PSC kit, but found the parts difficult to get off the sprue in one piece (!). Any ideas ?

Unfortunately, all the kits in this scale are 'tricky' with tiny pieces. I would recommend the Dragon pre-built jeeps – 2 to a box. The other option is the S-Model kit with 37mm gun, but the parts are really really tiny.

Perhaps a diecast model might be more suitable for you. No assembly required.

Years ago, a mate of mine spotted a few of the Hongwell Cararama 1/72nd doe cast jeeps going for £1.00 GBP apiece. I bought one, but I wish I'd bought a hundred.

All the best,

John.

What about "Ready to Roll" ready built and in 1/72 as aposed to 1/76

MGM – thank you and for the Ready to Roll – Raventhorpe and Minimi maybe?

Easiest jeeps to build in plastic are the Italeri fastbuild kit – 2 in the box. They are not so long out of production and can still be found without too much effort.

I don't own this but I have other vehicles from Minimi and they are great.
