Hello, I'm looking to get into 10mm or 15mm Marlborough/War of Spanish Succession era. One thing that has always turned me off about 15mm was the chunky squat look of so many manufacturers. Can anyone suggest figures in 10 or 15mm that look more true to life? 28mm look very realistic but I need to use a smaller scale due to space limitations. Thanks for your help. |

Pendraken 10mm WSS infantry are not bad, but I prefer their LoA range, especially the cavalry.I reckon you can get away with using these, certainly for the early part of the war. I have done mine as Dutch and Danish for Nine Years War, but they do appear on our "battlefields"of WSS, and do not look out of place. |

Hallmark Figures might be what you want. I have not seen them in the flesh but pics look slimmer than dixon or blackhat. Roundway miniatures from navwar might also fit the bill. |

Second for Pendraken. I believe that Warstore has them in the US. |

I'm digging about for some pics of the WSS, but here's the SYW figures which are the same sculptor/style as the Marlburians:
And some of our LoA range as well:
Give me a shout if I can help with anything, or if you'd like some samples. pendraken.co.uk |

That is some stunning painting of 10mm figures Leon. How on earth does anyone do that? (Nice figures too!) |

Here are some photos of my Pendrakan WSS
These are painted with a more mass production method than the excellent examples above. I go for a heavy wash of the main coat colour to give some shading. |
