All done finished and based
I've enjoyed building and painting these little fellows, apart from having to greenstuff the berets they are straight from the box. So thanks for looking feedback welcome as always cheers for now Russ |

Nice work. Good job on the bases. Really experessive faces as well. Glad you enjoyed making them, I've moved away from plastics purely because I hated putting together dozens of Warlord's plastic Brits, I was sick of it by the end. |

Wow, those are sharp and nicely done too. I may have to rethink my decision not to add Commandos as a British force to my army after this. Larry |

I like their grim faces. I've looked like that myself while bearing a full pack. Even without going into action. Also, the bases are really well done. |

I have these guys too, they are fun to paint for sure. I like the pulpy, tough guy look. I too had to sculpt my own berets, but that's not too hard. great job! |

You did a good job on those berets! I'm thinking of doing a Chasseurs Ardennais conversion myself, and your sculpts are good inspiration. |

Thanks for all the kind comments guys feedback is always welcome. Pete Melvin, I build ten at a time then I paint them. It saves getting fed up building to many before I get to the good bit of painting them. The faces are still abit hit and miss but I think im getting there with them. Thanks FreemanL, the next ten are in the planning stage, so I will see how different I can make them. Robby, thanks for the kind words. I think the faces really help to make the figures stand out. The figures do paint up nicely StCrispin, the berets are the only part of the kit I didn't like! It may of being better if warlord had just recast the heads with the berets already on. Jeff Ewing, I can't believe how easy it was to greenstuff the berets, the worse part was judging just how much to use! From then on it was plain sailing. So thanks for all the comments guys, it all helps to keep me focused. It doesn't take much to distract my butterfly mind! So thanks all and cheers for now Russ |

Thanks Gen Phred, I'm a real fan of plastics due to the ease of converting and mix and matching parts, and they look the part once painted! and the cost is also a bonus. The next ten are underway so keep looking and I will keep posting Cheers for now Russ |

BigNickR plastics may not be everyone's cup of tea but building them gives you so many options. I've got a fair number of warlords fallschirmjager (all metal figures) and the most I really did for variety was swap heads about. Which in itself was easy but I have done few conversions over the years and I know people who just arn't confident working with metal figures but have no problems working with plastic. Also the fact that you can mix and match a lot of the parts from different kits and manufactures makes it even easier to make unique figures individual to your own collection! |
