I've been getting back into the swing of painting. Here's a new miniature I've painted plus two that I've touched up and rebased.

I like the way you've done the photos on the newspapers, they look great.

I like the paint jobs and the clear bases. Good show!

Agree with all the above.

Nice job on the clear bases. What do you use for them?

Using clear bases is a superb idea! No worrying about whether your base will match the terrain and it doesn't require flocking or anything. Wow.

Please tell us where you found, or how you fabricated, your clear bases. Are they acetate, or something heavier?

It's an epiphany for THIS old man to realize that if clear, styrene, or other, plastic bases could be manufactured in round, square, and hexagonal shapes in at least 3/4" and 1" sizes, this would be a revolution in mounting figures, particularly for role playing and skirmish games.

Hey, Litko! Are you listening?

Litko already makes them. I have some. Go get some.

You can get pretty much any base they make clear.

Those look thinner than the Litko ones.

We wanted to try doing clear bases after seeing one of the Pulp Alley players using them. THANKS Anders.

We intended to buy the Litko ones but had trouble finding them in stock, so Mila decided to experiment with making her own.

Any time that happens, we're just using whatever is at hand and seeing how it turns out. And she liked it enough to start re-bases some of the older figs.

There are some down sides to it. I know there are folks out there that try not to put their fingers directly on the minis – so this style base isn't going to appeal to them.

Mila recently posted a tutorial of sorts, for how she does these bases.

THANKS for all the suggestions and comments!
