I have posted an image of a sample figure for my new 6th Wisconsin Regiment to be made from the latest figures released by Forgotten Glorious, their Iron Brigade collection.

Please let me know if anything should be changed. I have commissioned the full regiment from Leuthen Studios.

Looks great to me! Classical Iron Brigade

Looks good to me too! Blankets and socks can also be various shades of grey as well.

A beautiful figure. It's nice to see "right shoulder shift" properly represented. A minor thing, but the buckle on the haversack should be blackened iron, not brass.

Keep up the good work.

Nice work. To my mind, though, the trousers should be a darker shade. The original designation is "Saxon Blue".

It's more like this, and also the same colour is used for NCO stripes.

One other note: Soldiers quickly learned to roll their blanket up in their rubber ground cloth. It's one thing to have wet clothes, it's another thing to have a soaking wet, 40lb blanket on top of your knapsack, and it's a lousy thing to try and sleep in.

Afterward, many started to carry their blanket inside of their knapsack for similar reasons.

Nice paintwork on a nice looking figure, what more could you want

Nice work. To my mind, though, the trousers should be a darker shade. The original designation is "Saxon Blue".

Of course, the trousers would fade, but they wouldn't be quite such a bright blue. Other than that, looks great to me!

Thank you all very much. The trousers and haversack buckle will be changed for the full unit. Your advise is much appreciated. I'd really like to get this Regiment "right" and do justice to FG's excellent miniatures..

Forgotten & Glorious have done a great job with these new figures. Thanks to all for the very helpful suggestions. I hope the finished product is worthy of this great Regiment, painted for me by Leuthen studios.

Very nicely done!

That is some nice brush work. What size are those bases?

mdavis4105 Jul 2014 7:38 a.m. PST

Bases are 40mm x 40mm, intended for use with Longstreet Rules.
