Just saw these little guys
I got interested and then saw this review and thought "Like hell are those 1/35 scale". link Those are 6 year old little girl hands mind you. They're meant to be "Juveniles" but look like Mini-adults and from the look of most them they might roughly work in 15mm. Just wondering if anyone has looked at them before. I might stop by the local Hobbyshop and see if they have it but regardless I thought I'd post this up. If anyone has these models and some 15mm figures, I'd love to see some pics if you're willing. |

I have a box of these somewhere. I bought them for 15mm but never got round to painting them up. I'll try an dig them up if no one else posts pics. |

The models do look like they would work with 15mm. |

Nice little review and I think the scale is about right for 1/35 (Tamiya wouldn't get that wrong, now would they?) On a side note
How can you tell if a pilot is in the room? He'll tell you :) |

Great review. Not too long before your daughter will have her own blog I think. :) |

the little girl did a beautiful job painting those up! well, except the crocodilian and she can be forgiven for that i think!!! :-) the dinos are definitely little critters or juveniles though. don't think i'd use them in 15mm gaming except the croc as one of those humongous mesozoic crocs. course people can do whatever makes them happuh

@nnascati Huh? That was a found review. Unless the father showed up in the thread when I wasn't looking. |

Great review! Fun for ALL the family. I remember making dinosaur kits with Dad oh,
.. forty-five years ago! I can't remember the manufacturer, but they each came in a big cardboard box with bold illustration, and about a dozen pieces per beast. Brontosaurus was my first, then T-rex, triceratops, protoceratops. ankylosaurus, stegasaurus. And after the fun of building, I played with them for years. |

maybe airfix? yeah i loved them too and also built the skeleton models. made me feel like a little doctor or paleontologist. then there were the prehistoric scenes models and they were even more awesome, especially the big-as-godzilla t rex!!! |

@BooneC Any chance at those pictures? Please? |

@Psyckosama The bad news is they re not to be found in any of my games cupboards. There is a chance they are in couple of boxes of toys still unopened from when I moved here 2 years ago. I'll take a look Sunday. |

No, they weren't Airfix. Those came a few years later, and I added them to the collection! But they were the same scale. |

Sorry. They are not to be found. Guess I lost them in the move. At least I open the last 3 boxes of games and found my BloodBowl stuff, lots of 15mms and Heroclix hexes |

maybe life-like, freiherr?

@BooneC Drat. Thanks for the effort. |

Wow! I haven't seen one of those boxes for years! That's them, definitely. Now I'm feeling very nostalgic. |
Heinz Good Aryan | 23 Jun 2014 1:23 p.m. PST |
remember the t rex? lol! my favorite part is they called this one set "the world of tyrannosaurus" but then they add humans in the set as well as a disclaimer. so it's "the world of tyrannosaurus
and other stuff!!!" i also love the recommended chocolate brown color, it looks great on tyrannosaurus. it's really his color.
airfix made some too which for many years were not much better than the life lifes, but then in the late 70s they redid them, and the redos were awesome! anyone remember those? the t rex was a treasured possession because he was a model of the king of dinosaurs which actually did not look like an inflatable doll! the triceratops was pretty awesome too, but i'm not sure they redid the stegosaurus, maybe stegosaurus did not have a very good pr guy
..
what a walk down memory lane

I've never seen models of juvenile T-Rexs (unless you count miniature versions of adult ones). Evidently they looked quite different:

I believe that the Tamiya juvenile T. rex was based on the juvenile in the movie The Lost World: Jurassic Park. |

Hey Heinz, where did you get that pic for the lifelike kit? I want one. |
Heinz Good Aryan | 06 Jan 2015 1:37 p.m. PST |
that newfangled google thing!!! |
el flesh | 14 Jan 2015 9:44 a.m. PST |
Ya, but I didn't find it for the longest time while searching. I sure would like one of those kits again! Though I'd also settle for a scan of the background! |
