Just returned from ORIGINS, here are a few pics and observations…
REGISTRATION IN LOBBY:

Our GM packet and badges were waiting for us at the miniatures desk, and floor plan map showing our spot. All very organized. Origins is the most convenient for unloading and loading of any con we have ever attended. Registration at the event was quick on Thursday, but several attendees told me on Saturday the waiting line was about 2 hours.

VENDOR HALL:

The vendor hall was your typical eye-catching array of trade show booths; but very minimal regarding historical miniatures.

MINIATURES ROOM:

The miniatures room (convention center Hall F) was spacious with excellent lighting, low noise level even during peak gaming, and plenty of tables & chairs at our disposal. Only complaint was the concrete floor was hard on knees & back by end of day.

ALAMO SCENARIO:

We ran Alamo scenario using the Blue Moon 15/18mm fort and figures. Old Glory sponsored our games with a grand prize drawing for the Blue Moon Alamo Fort kit 15TRT-300, like the one used in our games. The winner was MATT WINSLOW.

More photos of the Alamo games in action are available on our website: link

Larry, had a great time with the game. I think I liked the Alamo game better than the ACW games you have ran before and that is saying a lot. Look forward to playing more in the future!!
