Alright, several years ago there was this line of "Toy" minis produced in Russia and imported to the US by I think Ertl or someone. They were very modular and toy like but made great conversion fodder. I can't remember the name. |

Imex was the initial USA importer. They no longer do so, but Pegasus hobbies still imports many terrain kits (hexagon, platformer, gothic, chemical plant, cyberclix, etc) from the same company. I've got quite a few of these kits and they are actually pretty neat models, especially with some modification. They can still be sourced fairly easily on ebay. Either under the IMEX name, the "Airfix" brand by which they came to the UK or the Tehnolog name which is the company that makes them and sells them in Russian and Europe. Here's a couple in action shots from the 28mm mech game we ran at Little Wars this year. Both are mostly stock except for weapon swaps from other robogear models Blue mech on left is a robogear.
Front mech is a Robogear
Not amazing models, but nice kits and certainly hard to beat at the price. |
