Played a small scenario to see if my variant could handle just a squad a piece. Worked well and tried to copy War Panda's style of reporting even though I can 't paint half as well. Found here: Platoonforward.blogspot.com Enjoy Joe |

Hexagonville is a great name! Tin Soldier, Adjusted ranges and strength of the new weapons, rifles do not need a reload card-- Tanks do. Every soldier hit gets a saving throw to determine whether he is WIA or pinned. Leaders can remove pins and higher leaders get extra cards. That is it in a nutshell. Cheers Joe |

Excellent stuff Joe! I hadn't heard of the rules before
All it meant to me was a posh area of Dublin City ;) I'll have to google it. BTW I've being using a lot of Platoon Forward in my own campaign. It really is a great way of transforming a stand alone game into something very memorable. My next game will also employ the solo game mechanic which I'm pretty excited about. I'm off to check out those rules |

War Panda, Have been very happy with Donnybrook; better than Sharpe's Practice IMO. Then again I don't like the "shock" mechanic. Glad you still like Platoon Forward. I actually wrote an article of how to adapt it to Chain of Command. It was in the last Lardy special. Cheers Joe |

Weasel, Glad you like it. Don't hear much about it these days but still sell about 10 copies a month and don't hear any complaints. I have finished the asymetric version. Just looking for a suitable way to release it. How is your 5 men in Normandy coming? You know you could have used Platoon Forward for that too. : ) Cheers Joe |
