Those guys work 4 years to made that incredible work. They took more than 300 pictures. The diorama shows three different scenes, The Alamo before the battle, the Alamo in battle and the Mexican camp.

Cool figures and scene, but inaccurate buildings. |

It's a little 'Hollywood' but I think that's its charm. Clearly a labour of love & who wouldn't love it? |
Condotta | 15 Jun 2014 5:07 p.m. PST |
Ochoin, I agree, a labour of love. It must have been a temptation to not deconstruct the set and store everything away. Thanks, Tango. The individual models remind me of the incredible photos of your games using 28mm figures, and with a lot more on the table. |

I will wish I had never posted this I know. The Alamo is iconic and cannot be criticised. It is not a myth that brave men died there, on both sides. Whether it made any military sense
. for either army
.. But the final battle was fought in early morning darkness. There was precious little of a battle, as the defenders were asleep and exhausted. The Mexican cavalry would not have charged against stone walls, as shown. Insane. They stood back to catch the fleeing defenders and massacre them, in the open. Texican casualties probably outnumbered Mexican. As for black slaves, they were maybe better off with Santa Anna's men! It is Hollywood and it has charm. Are the figures really that cool though? Naïve maybe
..surely Action Man or their GI Joe in poorly scaled clothing. There are scenes here that look like a child's doll's house. Now apologies if this offends. But we must be allowed to judge, to criticise, to set standards. Verlinden, Shep Paine, that is what I mean
.. |

I'm amazed that this was set up outside! Brave, brave! One rainstorm would spoil all the toys! I spy Sgt. McGregor up over the main gate! Drinking a bottle of Gatorade? Is it accurate? Of course not. Is it spirited, vivid, clearly motivated by love and passion? Definitely! I'm sure it will inspire some kids to pursue hobby gaming. I applaud the efforts and hard work of these dedicated modellers. |

True. Good point
Kids would absolutely love this and it does enhance the legend of John Wayne and Laurence Harvey with the repeater pistol years before they were invented. Why not? Agreed! |

Tango, you've done it again! I love all things Alamo – the historical, the 'mythological,' and everything in between. I appreciate and admire any hobbyists labor of love. The diversity is one of our hobby's (military miniaturists and gamers of all stripes) biggest strengths. I've seen and played in Doc's 54mm painted Alamo game and it was a blast. This project is simply another spectacular facet of our hobby gem. |

Happy for you my friend!. (smile). It's a matter of love as many said and specially good for kids, the next generation. Details and accurate uniforms maybe is not so important in such proyect. But I respect Mr. deadhead opinion. Amicalement Armand |

Neat, but I'm with deadhead – doesn't blow me away. I'd have rather seen a smaller scale and better figures/models/buildings. The effort and dedication is might impressive. |

I've seen MANY scale models (including the one in the Alamo gift shop), and this one is good. It's different from the typical 25mm portrayals you usually see. So, yeah, this is cool. |

I am impressed, but mostly by the dedication to dress and customize that many Madelman figures. Not the best custom I have ever seen, but they appear to have shrunk mego heads from 1/9 to 1/12 scale (I see Dr. McCoy, Conan and Gallahad for sure). Whichever method they used, it takes some work. |
