First trailer has been released for historical drama THE LIBERATOR (or LIBERTADOR) in which Edgar Ramirez portrays famous political and military leader Simon Bolivar who fought against the Spanish Empire. To arrive to cinemas this August this historical biography, presented entirely from Bolívar's point-of-view, depicts the Venezuelan military and political leader who played a crucial role in freeing Latin America from the grip of the Spanish Empire! Danny Huston and Iwan Rheon also star" From Hollywood Spy. YouTube link Amicalement Armand |

There was a brief, overhead flash of a battle scene that appeared to show one side deployed in regular formations (the Spanish?), and the other the usual Hollywood wild, formless sprinting mob (the rebels?). Everyone knows that rebels are incapable of training in drill or manoeuvre. And they always win; but they can only win by having the whole army simultaneously go juramentado. In its favour, I didn't see any bolt action rifles. |

Happy you enjoyed the trailer boys. Henry, you are right. This was the "popular" Army of Simon Bolivar at the beginning of his campaign. Then, he has more "fancy" troops. Hope they show that a lot of their officers and many soldiers too were british from the Napoleonic Wars. Amicalement Armand |
