Sounds really good – but what surface are the boarding actions played on? Do you need ships? Will you be able to get a "ships deck" to fight the boarding actions on? |

i have given the few informations avaible about the rules in this post : TMP link search for the quote in the post |

Come on, if you're not going to get involved, why post? Lon at Brigade Games USA will have the Nickstarter deal, and War and Peace Games will have it in Oz. Both those guys will minimise the pain of overseas shipping and exchange rates. Ship decks would be really handy for this game. If someone does card printouts that'd be great, but if one of the Laser-Cut MDF guys was to do a 3D deck, without the full masts and rigging, that'd be perfect. |
Disco Joe | 13 Jun 2014 8:49 a.m. PST |
Nick, did Lon give you any idea when he will be putting it up on his site? Also as for the 3D deck have you considered contacting 4Groud for something like that? I do like what they have done for buidlings with the other ranges. |
Cyrus the Great | 13 Jun 2014 8:51 a.m. PST |
Lon doesn't have it posted yet
I'll be taking advantage of it when he does! Time to trot out the Limeys and Slimeys ships. |

that's my fault, so please give me a bit of a break okay?
. I've also looked at the Brigade Games site and it's not posted there
. So I guess I'll have to wait on it
.until it does show up on his site. |
BrigadeGames | 13 Jun 2014 9:36 a.m. PST |
We will have it up on our site today. We have a lot of additions going up on the site as we just got a restock and all the new items from multiple ranges we import. |

Calculating at 1.60 USD per UK pound, it would appear that the figures cost 4.50 USD each. Is that correct? If so, isn't that about 2x what even a Perry 28mm costs? |
Huscarle | 13 Jun 2014 10:20 a.m. PST |
That's a bummer, I wanted the High Seas Drifter & a couple of crews, but that's not an option. No walking the plank for me this time round. |
NickNorthStar | 13 Jun 2014 10:38 a.m. PST |
Hi Murphy, Oh ok. They are expensive figures, I'm not going to hide that fact. Odd statement, 'what even a Perry costs'. FCOL, those guys are almost giving their figures away, and they make some of the finest in the hobby. It's a good job they are chums of North Star
We have the pirates from Artizan Design and Crusader Miniatures that are splendid figures and cost less to buy. Brigade and Age of Glory carry them in the US. |
NickNorthStar | 13 Jun 2014 10:45 a.m. PST |
Here's the Artizan link & here's the Crusader link Both ranges do feature in pictures in the new book. The Crusader range has those lovely cannons in as well, something we won't be doing in the Osprey range. |

Nick When will payment be taken if I pre-order???? Just trying to work out my finances and would like to order the whole deal Cheers MH |
NickNorthStar | 13 Jun 2014 12:43 p.m. PST |
Normally it'd be taken straight away, but if you ask us to take it at a later date, we can do that for you no problem. |

I do like that idea of laser-cut ship bases. E-mail off to Martin at Warbases in the morning! The Colonel |

Back in the nineties Eureka made a 3D ship deck for its fast-play pirate skirmish rules, 'Dead Man's Chest'. Perhaps it's still in production or could be revived. |
Henry Martini | 14 Jun 2014 2:36 a.m. PST |
I checked the Eureka website; the resin deck is still in production, but isn't cheap. It's 21 inches long, and you can extend it with an extra middle section. The rules BTW were called 'Fifteen Men
'. Eureka also makes a range of deck 'clutter' that served as movement obstacles in the rules (rope coils, rat packs etc.), but which would no doubt work equally well with the Osprey game, and all sorts of essentials for making/embellishing ship models – including of course, guns. |
lou passejaire | 14 Jun 2014 3:43 a.m. PST |
you can build a ship deck, using 1cm balsa wood and card for around 5 €
it's quite easy if you take the chapman drawings

25% for international shipping is actually pretty reasonable, compared to many other retailers. |

We have used the superb gamemastery flipmats for swashbuckling games link EDIT just remembered I have two megabloks ships in the loft that were used for 25-28mm boarding actions .they are perfect after smoothing out the decks |

For those in the USA – we have put the 'On the Seven Seas' Nickstarter in our store. Thanks to Nick of Northstar, exactly the same rewards for preordering are available with BrigadeGames. Find the details here: link As with Northstar, if you decide you want to add to your preorder prior to the cut off date we can accommodate that as well. Best regards – Lon BrigadeGames.com |

Does that include the free shipping if the whole package is ordered? |
BrigadeGames | 16 Jun 2014 9:59 a.m. PST |
"Does that include the free shipping if the whole package is ordered?" Yes – to U.S. residents – I just have to make that adjustment manually. It says this in the product description. |
