So here are the first reworked sculpts for the game that we would like to eventually produce, Frozen Rampage. Our first sculpts were very basic and crude for prototype purposes and we decided it would be best to reculpt them if we ever want to have a shot at selling our game.

Here is the concept are for the Human Star player. My partner in this en devour is an artist, so he is the one coming up with the excellent concept art. It is my duty to attempt to sculpt a mini out of it.

Heres the attempt. The green is greenstuff and the grey is procreate.

Here is the concept art for our Human Goalie.

Once again, here is my attempt.

These are about 90% done in my mind. They still need the skates to be finished and some minor touch ups (as far as I can tell), but I would like some criticism from some people on the forum.

I started to make some changes based on some comments. I have added more character to the star's face by fixing his chin and nose from the above photo. I also fixed his hand that is holding the shield. On the goalie, I will be making his glove open rather than closed since the pose is more of anticipating a shot rather than just having made a save.

I'll try to fix some of the comments that come up here, but at the same time, I am still just an amateur doing this in my spare time that I get at night and in the morning before my kids wake up and I have to go to work, so my skills may not be advanced enough to fix some of the problems.

The goalie's left arm looks freakishly long. but other than that, excellent work…! thumbs up

Thanks for the comment. Someone else commented on that too and I think it has to do with how large the glove and shoulder pads are. If you look at the back view, you can see that he's tilted a little towards his left and you can see where his arm actually attaches.

the goalies FOREARM is too long, as in from elbow to finger tips…

When you fold your arm back in against itself, your fingers should not be extending past your shoulders, or if they do, by an inch or two TOPS

Other than that arm, i Like it

so how do the rules work? does it have momentum? I like the idea of bloodbowl with full-thrust movement mechanics ;)

I'll be working on the arm tomorrow night. I re-worked the glove so it looks a lot better, so I'll have to trim a section out.

We actually launched a Kickstarter for Frozen Rampage last October and failed to get enough momentum. We think that was due to the fact that we had our prototype miniatures displayed. We had it noted that they would be resculpting but reading some comments on message boards, people were hung up on it. So we decided to resculpt the miniatures so people will see exactly what they are getting.

We have a game play video on YouTube if anyone is interested in watching. YouTube link

Thanks for the comments!

Alright, barring any major complaints over the next 12 hours, I will be making some molds for these tonight.

I redid the glove of the goalie and I think it makes the arm look a lot better now. I think the pictures are a little deceiving since everything looks properly scaled in real life. In fact, I ended up cutting a little bit off of the stick forearm in order to meet proper proportions.

I didn't really change all that much on the star player. As I mentioned earlier, I fixed up the head and glove and that was about it.

Here are the finished greens for Oliver Williamson, the human star player, and Bertram Nikolus, the human goalie, for Frozen Rampage, a fantasy miniatures hockey game.

We also just made some molds for these guys so we can get some prototypes out for people that are interested in the game and to send to reviewers for promo items. For that reason, these minis can be changed if there are some glaring problems with the minis.

If anyone has any comments, we would love to hear them.

Thanks!
