"Long before Game of Thrones was making us learn to love incestuous child-cripplers, Battlestar Galactica—a 2004 reboot of a classic 1970s space drama—taught us to empathize and even root for the machines that tried to wipe out the human race. Set in the aftermath of a robot apocalypse, Battlestar was was deeply concerned with the idea of humanity—not only with its salvation but its definition. What does it truly mean to be a person? Is redemption possible after crimes like slavery or attempted genocide? What defines us: who we are, or the choices we make?

I think anyone who binge-watches BSG should make sure they have a therapist lined up for the last two seasons. Talk about depressing! I loved the show, but it was emotionally-exhausting to watch it.

Loved the show then was completely Bleeped texted off at the contrived ending. Still some of the best space battles yet on TV or the Big Screen in my mind.

I didn't have a problem with the ending.

I liked the show. Sure the ending for me was a bit stupid, but eh, it did not poison this great Sci Fi show for me.

I loved Caprica and still weep at its cancellation.

Saw only the first show and stop watching it after that.

Did not like it.

If you mean the pilot, I would HIGHLY recommend checking out at least the first episode proper, '33'. If you don't like that, then yes it's probably not the show for you. It made a number of changes from the pilot though when it got picked up.
