Has anyone heard anything about Rod Langton raising his prices> I just heard from a friend they were going up 24%. |

A price increase on some items has been announced on the website: rodlangton.com/notice.htm Whether it is 24% I have no idea. Maths isn't my strong point. |

Vol, I should clarify the price increase here. The Langtons are raising most of their prices, but not by a fixed amount across the board. I looked at the hull and sail prices; they appear to be going up about 16% or so. When I decided on an across the board increase of 24% it was because I have kept my prices below other US sellers' retail by 10% or more, and I figured 24% would bring me up closer to (but still under) where the other US sellers will probably be after the increase. However
.after I sent that newsletter info out I gave it a lot of thought and decided that with the change in my personal situation I just can't do business the way I like to. I have already informed the Langtons of my concerns. I want to think about it another day or so then I'll make an announcement on here. |

I ordered from Waterloo Minis and it was a tremendously satisfactory experience. |

Sorry I misunderstood Rob. After I opened my big mouth I looked for myself and found that Rod is not raising everything, just the metal and with the increase in shipping, like you say, about 16%. Very sorry. I beg forgiveness. |
