I picked up one of these from Hobbylinc because it was on sale (probably like 35 whole cents cheaper than the standard discount – "Only Until Thursday!!!" I'm sure it said). I think I paid $4.63 USD. =]

Either way, it checks in on my radar for being under five bucks. (Under ten will set it off, but under five bucks and possibly 1/100 scale triggers full alert status).

These Hot Wings vehicles come with a small piece of "airfield" and they're listed under miscellaneous scale: box scale. The box is about the size of a chicken pot pie, so the scale gets farther from 1/100 the bigger the actual plane being modeled is in reality. In this case, there existed, of course, a helpful TMP thread, to assist my buying decision.

Linked here, because the discussion took place on the pulp forum, but this is a nice little vehicle for a near future/sci fi milieu, for many purposes, transport, objective, cover, terrain.

I think I'll give this one a very light coat of Nuln Oil (cause I own a bottle), and spray it with some dullcote.

Pics if and when I actually do. The model is in the shipping box in the cupboard. The humidity here was 82% when I woke up this morning.

Good find. I'll pick one up if they appear locally.

Cool find, it could be used as terrain piece or put into actual play in a variety of roles.

Looks neat.

Thanks for sharing.

Didn't know anyone was making them in any scale.

Wish they'd get the 1:1 scale ones flying free, sometime in the next century, or two.

They've been working on this design for far too long.

Given all the NASA scientists out of work, I would think they would be able to hire them, and finally make these viable, for the second automotive/aircraft revolution for America, and the world.

We could use a new, manufacturing renaissance in this country.

Reminds me a bit of the exec jet that Matt Damon's team shot down in the movie Elysium!

They've added pretty long wings since the last time I saw that design…
