Hi Guys
I've posted an AAR of a re-fight of Quatre Bras using FoG:N rules.
It was great fun and I have about 35 photos of the battle on my blog:

Nice figures – great painting. AB figures by the look of them

Bandolier09 Jun 2014 4:18 p.m. PST

That looks great. Well done.

Yep, almost all are AB Miniatures.
Some Warmodeller and Blue Moon in there.

Great looking game! I love this battle!

Trailape, you and I share a passion for AB figures, yours look wonderful mate.

Can I ask what you see as the strong points of FoG:N that attracts you to use them as rules and may I ask what you've compared them with?

Hi Nick
I've made a comparison of FoG:N and Lasalle which you can look at here:

In short, at a Corps level where you manoeuvre brigades / Regiments (a group of battalions in a single unit) I think FoG:N is the best set of rules.
If I want to play a game where I'm moving individual battalions then Lasalle are the rules I'll play.

great report, a lot of effort that was much appreciated. Your painting puts mine to shame, I had hoped they were 28mm initially :)

You made some nice points about Brigades vs Regiments, thanks for the clarification.

well done those French Lancers. Was there much smiling as they continued on their path of destruction through the Allied lines ?

Hello trailape!

Very well done. It's always a pleasure to see photos of a well planned game with great figures and terrain. Glad to see you also included your source for the o/b.

We will be doing this battle next year in 6mm with every battalion and regiment on the table. We will also be doing a version with d'Erlon's Corps.

Thanks for giving us the full report of your game.

Best regards,

Glenn

Thanks
Unfortunately I hadn't managed to have the Netherlands and Guard Cavalry bases flocked.
Next time I do this battle I might have a percentage chance that elements of D'Erlon's Corp could arrive.
Cheers
