Hello everyone, I have just finished the first few bases of Reisläufers/Landsknechts for my French army for the Italian Wars. The miniatures are from Pro Gloria and very nice they are too.
More pictures are available on my blog, where I also go on about the project in more detail: link |

Very nice paint job and basing. My only criticism is the spacing of your figures. It looks like a skirmish line. I used to base mine on a 20mm frontage and thought that looked too spaced. I now go 15mm frontage and now that looks the maximum.
I don't know how far down this road you are, but I changed over having based 1000+ and don't regret it. |

Congratulations to you both. My Landies are still half finished after years. They look beautiful but they are a lot of work to finish. |

Great looking figures both of you! |

Cheers everyone, much appreciated! olicana, yeah I can see what you mean. They don't like quite as spread out IRL as in the pictures though. But on rest of the bases I will arrange the miniatures more densely packed. Maybe then I'll even go back and rebase these as well. |

Hi Jonas, I'm sure that they don't. It's a bee in my bonnet at the moment. I have this stinging thought in my mind that there is a push for 28mm figs to be regarded as counters representing, in a visual form, only the 'costume' of the troops. I think they should also represent, in a visual way, the formation. In game terms, it rarely makes a difference, but we are, I think, miniatures players not 'counter' players. Different things float different boats. It's only my personal view. |

olicana, well I will follow your and my good friend Dalauppror's lead in this and rebase this lot when I'm basing up my next batch of finished Swiss. :) |
