"Gunmen attacked one of Pakistan's biggest airports on Sunday and at least 23 people were killed, including all 10 of the attackers, media reported. The attack on Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, Pakistan's sprawling commercial hub of 18 million people, took place as Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's government tries to engage Pakistani Taliban militants in negotiations to end years of fighting. "It seems there was some ill-planning on their part." Well, now that there are 5 more top leaders and planners back to give advice, there may not be such bad planning in the future. Of course they will not be on the scene for a year (ya) but they can direct planning from their offices in Qatar. |

Again, no real surprise
the only place the war on terrorism is over is in some of the offices of DC
I'm betting when the 5 newly released Taliban eventually get back to Afghanistan. Probably long before the year they are to stay in Qatar. To continue their "good" work with Mullah Omar, drones will be sending the lot to Allah
or where ever
Something you couldn't do while they were at Gitmo
And may get Omar in the strike(s) as well. Some of the newly released Taliban already stated they would continue their jihad against the US
again
no surprise
Send in the Drones and Cruise Missiles

Apparently, they've attacked, for a second time in two days, at the same location. A real shame. Hopefully, the Pakistanis and we will cooperate to eradicate them from the region. I worry about them toppling, and/or further hobbling the existing government, which has pretty much had a hands-off policy against them, and then getting possession of one, or more nukes. That would be scary, and is all too possible as a potential outcome in the near future, I suspect. |

That is the real concern, Pakistan has Nucs and is fighting Jihadists who'd like to use them
on everyone who is not fanatical islamists
