With the death of the BF LW German armour spray tin what have people found as an acceptable alternative? I'm not really interested in going down the airbrush route since I'm just not that into the painting side of the hobby. Only one I've found that is fairly close is the army painter desert yellow. Of course, that is utterly lacking any hint of green! Any suggestions? |

You can brush on Vallejo Model Color 'Middlestone', it's the match for the LW German Armour color in the rattlecan. |

Lion, looking for a spray since I've got quite a few models to basecoat with plans for a fair few more! Having said that if I don't find a spray to match then that is the next option I guess, thanks. I'm putting my faith in PSC, just ordered a pair of tins. |

Tamiya TS-3 Dark Yellow spray. It is pricey and takes several light coats to cover so suggest spraying a primer coat first. |

I like the Tamiya paint but it is too expensive. I have been using Krylon Camo Colors, Tan as a base coat. Then hit it with the Tamiya paint. Works with one or two thin coats and helps even out the cost of the Tamiya paint. |

I have the PSC sprays and spray on wash thing (technical term). The paint is very good, it's adheres well, seems to cope with moisture in the air better than some (south wales = temperate rainforest) and provides a decent surface (thin and even). I've just basecoated 10 15mm vehicles for BA and CoC in dunkelgelb, it's certainly made my life easier (not having to break out my airbrush). |
