The Across the Dead Earth rules are now available to buy as a downloadable PDF. Across the Dead Earth, the post-apocalyptic tabletop miniatures game, is a fast paced skirmish scale war-game for 2 or more players. Players control persistent, upgradeable and fully customisable Gangs who fight across the dead Earth, in a world three generations on from the apocalypse. Loot and kill your way through campaigns with one of the Gangs described in the rules or create your own from scratch, and then upgrade them through campaign play to gain better skills and equipment. The Living PDF contains the rules as they stand today plus a licence to download every version of the Across the Dead Earth PDF we release throughout the rest of 2014. The PDF is 80+ pages long and comes with a separate file of printable "cards" for use in the game. Purchasers of the Living PDF who decide to buy the print rulebook or one of our Starter Sets at a later date will receive a £5.00 GBP discount off that product. deadearth.co.uk/?page_id=796

Hi there! Each player has between 4 and 9 models – the Gangs described in the book are all 5 or 6. The turn sequence is that, after Initiative is established (a D6+however many kills or K/O's you have scored thus far) each player takes it in turn to act with one Gang member at a time. Each Gang member can perform two Actions per turn (shoot, move, melee attack, hide, wait-and-watch etc.) and then the other player acts with one of their Gangs members. This sequence can be interrupted with the use of Event Cards (trip ware's, booby traps, falling masonry, distractions, flukes) and Leader's get a third Action which they can (and nearly always do) use to give an Order (extra Action) to one of their other Gang members. There's more info on this page: deadearth.co.uk/?page_id=95 including a couple of video's which might be the quickest way to get an idea of gameplay. Alternatively I'm more than happy to go into more detail or answer any specific questions here too. |
