Peter and I played a game to mark the 70th Anniversary of D-Day.

6mm 21st Panzer Dvision attacking elements of British 3rd Infantry Division (supported by a Yeomanry regiment).

We used club terrain, 6mm models and BKCII rules, and due to a small error on my part, (I used the wrong calculator for the Brits), it was 3345 points of Allies keen to capture two vital crossroads – running into 21st Panzer coming the other way.

Here's the table:

Your club terrain is very good. Nice report, and thanks for sharing. How do you find the BKC rules? I have a copy and have been impressed with them, even though I haven't had a game yet.

Appropriate expression for someone who can't get his Panzers through to the beaches – he might well be off, taking his toys with him..

The BKC rules work pretty well. The command dice mean you get caught out on occasion, which is as it should be. Otherwise they run very smoothly.

The one drawback is occasionally you have to roll stupid numbers of dice. So for example my artillery used 24 dice.
