The fourth box looks interesting. Anyone seen the figures?
1st. is honey – 2nd. is steel – 3rd. is icing on the cake.

Would like to see these too – can't have too many Injuns and I have 40 painted already

John the OFM06 Jun 2014 8:08 p.m. PST

Now, that is a plastic I just might try.
Agreed that you can't have too many Injuns. I suppose I can customize with bow, musket or Chingachgook club.

They know how to tease. It'll be great to see these in the flesh.

Ashokmarine07 Jun 2014 5:52 a.m. PST

Now they have my attention..

zippyfusenet07 Jun 2014 5:53 a.m. PST

Are musket-era North American Woodland Indians *the* most popular genre of 28mm figures ever?

I wouldn't have predicted that. But companies just keep bringing more to market, and i just keep buying them.

Winston Smith07 Jun 2014 10:58 a.m. PST

The box shot definitely shows a Chingachgook club, OFM.

I wonder if it will have the required parts to do him.

BigNickR07 Jun 2014 3:25 p.m. PST

I absolutely am looking at getting these

Griefbringer08 Jun 2014 2:07 a.m. PST

I suppose I can customize with bow, musket or Chingachgook club.

Considering the recent WF sets, I presume that this one will also come with a plenty of options.

Actually, once the sprue pics will be revealed, there will probably be a bunch of folks on TMP complaining that there will be too many options in the set…

zippyfusenet08 Jun 2014 3:40 a.m. PST

Ooh. The box will likely have enough spare parts to contribute to other customization projects. I had not thought of that.

Dr Mathias Fezian08 Jun 2014 3:57 p.m. PST

I haven't seen the sprues yet but the report from within the company is that these are some spectacular figures. Really looking forward to painting them.

Finally!

I've been waiting for plastic woodland indians for years.

I've had enough painting canoes to fight against a hut in the middle of a lake. Now I'll be able to have a fight on the side of a mountain to showcase The Serpent's grief-stricken finest hour.

thehawk13 Jun 2014 8:12 a.m. PST

Valator, does thou mean Le Gros Serpent vs Le Renard Subtil?

Still waiting.

I *love* the way they are doing the hair for these! If only 28mm was my scale for this period.

Pan Marek26 Jan 2015 11:25 a.m. PST

Now that I've seen them, I don't like them. Its not that they are not well-sculpted, but they all seem to more resemble the fellows down at the local gym than 18th century Native Americans. Massive shoulders, 6 pack abs and huge biceps.
I was looking forward to these, and have the other sets. but these turn me off. I'm sticking with Perry.

grommet3726 Jan 2015 12:17 p.m. PST

I can finally get my 28mm FIW skirmish project going again.

As I have several other projects, I didn't mind the wait.

Decided to start with plastic figures and dollar store trees.

Thanks for the reminder. Need to order a box.

marco56 Supporting Member of TMP26 Jan 2015 4:56 p.m. PST

Maybe they shouldn't look like the just came from the gym but these guys grew up using their physical skills so I don't think they were very weak.

Received mine today.I'm sure they will be nice but honestly I didn't realize the parts are so small. It doesn't help that the parts are dark grey either.I'm going to have to get a magnifying glass or something as I can't tell what some parts are.

Marco- Strength attained in the way you describe does not result in modern body-builder style physiques. Contemporary illustrations do not show, nor do photos of Native Americans taken in the 19th century.

On a thread talking about these figures a while back someone said they would put them together for $.50 USD per figure plus the extra parts. If that person see's this and is interested please email me at catman108@comcast.net .I also have painted and unpainted FIW if they would rather trade. Also have over 150 unpainted figures of 2nd Seminole War.I like these WGF
figures and they are a little bigger which is what I want but my eyes just can't handle putting these together,I can't even tell what some parts are.Plus I have no experience with hard plastic and don't want to ruin them.

Is anyone interested in putting these together and how much would you charge per figure?
