Okay joking aside,
Has anyone use the Gundam 1/100 scale Type 74 Hover Truck?

If so how does it look along with 15mm figures you have picture it would be a plus.

The G Dog Fezian06 Jun 2014 3:47 p.m. PST

That's pretty cool.

Where can one acquire one or two?

I purchased mine here auction

It is a very nice looking kit and crisply molded. I haven't started it yet as it is for an upcoming project.

Lion in the Stars06 Jun 2014 6:06 p.m. PST

Oh, my!

I will need to get one of those, since 08th MS team is one of my favorites of the Gundam series. (And the 1/100 RX78s and Zakus are reasonably priced)

Bashytubits06 Jun 2014 6:53 p.m. PST

These are listed from this seller on e bay but the shipping is as much as the model cost.
auction
There are 2 models per kit though.

Grimmnar06 Jun 2014 11:50 p.m. PST

So the box says 2 in 1. And i know there are two trucks in the box.
But my question is, are both trucks the same size?
I thought i saw a pic that though the trucks are the same design one of the trucks is smaller than the other truck.
Please advise. :-)

Would also love to see some comparison shots with appropriately scaled 1/100 er 15mm infantry with the above truck.

I can provide these guys for $10 USD per plus $10 USD shipping. I'm in China, and they retail for WAY less here. PM if interested.

pigasuspig07 Jun 2014 3:47 a.m. PST

Oh, scale: Scroll down: the 1 yuan coin in this listing is exactly 25mm, the same size as a US Quarter.

You can get a much lower shipping rate though it will take 3 weeks to get there. That's what I did the first time. I bought a lot more stuff from him and he shipped it at that rate but I got it within a week.

whitphoto07 Jun 2014 6:17 a.m. PST

The video review shows that both trucks are identical. They look big based on him holding the sprue. If I bought them is use them as some sort of heavy utility truck or recovery vehicle. Or scratch bios them into an up armored gun truck like they do the HEMTT.

It's much cheaper, not that any one cares it's a bootleg knock off. I don't see a Bandai label any where on that.

grommet3709 Jun 2014 10:11 p.m. PST

I'm interested as well.

StrikeLeader16 Jun 2014 7:29 a.m. PST

Here is a picture with a bunch of other vehicles and minis. It is the most recent post on my blog, because I couldn't figure out the picture attachment here.

Thanks,

gregmita216 Jun 2014 4:28 p.m. PST

Thanks for sharing the picture. It looks more like a 1/72 scale truck from the size.

War Monkey16 Jun 2014 7:25 p.m. PST

Yes it is a fair size larger then I had thought, But I think it can still work and would look nice on any table, thanks for the picture.

TK 42117 Jun 2014 5:42 a.m. PST

Though I haven't put mine together yet, I've taken several different figures and used pictures from the show to scale it out. If it isn't true 1/100, it's pretty close.

cloudcaptain17 Jun 2014 6:04 a.m. PST

If anyone wants to part with theirs I was hoping to find a hovertruck in 1/72. Drop me a line at:

Lion in the Stars17 Jun 2014 10:41 a.m. PST

Yeah, the support vehicles in Gundam are huge. Bigger-than-MRAPs huge.

TK 42124 Jun 2014 9:49 a.m. PST

@ pigasuspig Check out the picture and see if you can get a hold of these kits for individual sale. I am interested in the one at the bottom of the picture.

War Monkey24 Jun 2014 3:40 p.m. PST

I'll second TK 421 Idea!

Lfseeney24 Jun 2014 8:47 p.m. PST

Is that 8 models for 21usd ?

grommet3724 Jun 2014 10:02 p.m. PST

If that turns out to be 1 RDA and 7 other aircraft, I'll give you the RDA and buy the other 7.

I think they are an Apache and half a dozen other 1/165-ish modern fighters, iirc.

That'd be around $3 USD bucks a model, for stuff I can hang above the battlefield, and use to learn some refinishing skills.

If the case isn't all RDAs, PM me or email me.

TK 42125 Jun 2014 3:11 a.m. PST

Not all are 1/165 and yes, they come in a wholesale variety pack.

TK 42125 Jun 2014 5:37 a.m. PST

sdmadcow on e-bay will also sell the individual models. If I don't hear from pigasuspig, I have another option.

Lfseeney25 Jun 2014 7:06 a.m. PST

Thanks, if it was all RDA would be any easy sale.

TK 42125 Jun 2014 8:41 a.m. PST

Yeah, you just have to ask. When I got the truck from this guy I went ahead and sent him a picture and BAM I had RDA gunships. Too bad they don't make other models like the transport ship and the utility chopper.

pigasuspig25 Jun 2014 6:30 p.m. PST

Wow, wrote this then realized PMs don't work. Anyone still interested can email my username at yahoo dot com. Will try to put together a big order.

TK 42126 Jun 2014 12:53 p.m. PST

Thanks TK 421

Love the Video

War Monkey27 Jun 2014 1:08 p.m. PST

Ok so does any one have any pictures of 1/144 scale hover truck Seeing how large the 1/100 is,I figure the 1/144 one has to be close the the Matchbox size.

Cergorach27 Jul 2014 1:18 p.m. PST

Got my box of six 1/100 Gundam trucks from pigasuspig, at $40 USD including shipping it came out at ~€5/truck (or $6.67 USD/truck). If you think that $13 USD/truck is a bit steep, contact pigasuspig!

Great little kit, I already have four of these trucks in 1/144 and wanted a couple as Hover APCs for 15mm gaming. Great little kit, can be assembled without glue and fits really well and has some additional option (like an ambulance module, BIG antenna, etc).
