I know, in "28mm" (heroic 28mm, that is) I can get plenty from GW. But I'd like to give my 15mm NSF militia for Tomorrow's War some leadership, in the form of commissars, and to fit that army's theme, they need gas masks (or similar masks). The basic troops are 15mm.co.uk Post-Apoc Survivors, who look great as shabby Russians in greatcoats with gas masks and cheap SMGs. Any suggestions? Kremlin Miniatures used to have just the right minis, but as far as I recall, their casting machine is broken :( |

How about Martian Empires British Command in gas masks? |

Just find a dude with a mean looking hat. The mask is easier to make yourself from putty. You could use Khurasan's Evil Overlord, she's got the classic mean hat and fascist-y uniform combo (no overcoat though).

@Extra Crispy – thanks for the recommendation. Are they 18mm or 15mm? @No Such Agency – thus means I'll have to make a mask out of putty. @Lion in the Stars – In fact, I'm using them as enemies for this army

Why not send Kremlin an email and see how they are setting with their casting machine |

yeah I agee, use putty to convert a suitable fig rather then try and find the perfect fig, as it probably doesn't exist, or you could find a suitable fig and do a head swap with one of your line troops. |

and the Eureka figs are 15mm not 18mm |

@Gunner Dunbar – I was talking about the Martian Empires British Command figures, which are by Black Hat Miniatures and are listed under "18mm": link |

Check out the Royal Kingdom infantry officer from Trench 2114/Cactus Games: link I have these, and it's a really nice sculpt, and should be nearly perfect for what you need. Casting quality is very nice too, minimal to no mold-lines. |

WOW! I want this! Any chance to get, say 5-6 copies of that particular sculpt without getting the rest of the pack? |
Ivan DBA | 09 Jun 2014 6:51 p.m. PST |
Dunno. You could email and ask. The guy who runs Cactus Games is really nice, but he probably gets fixed numbers of each casting, and I believe he contracts out the actual casting process, so he can't just cast to order. When I ordered some a few months ago, I got two officers per pack of ten figures. |

Once I'll have the necessary cash, I'll definitely as him. If you get two officers per pack, I'll only need 3 packs for my entire 5-squad force. |

The ex Kremlin miniature commissar with leather mask and zip mouth is just bursting with character, the one in the photo below has had it's banner pole shortened and a Warhammer 40k icon added on top, I bought the commissar set off M.Y Miniatures a few weeks ago.

I'll definitely buy the Kremlin/MY commissars, thanks! |

I am doing something a little bit special with my commissar inspired by the one in the photo above, stay tuned… |

Cactus Games figures in blue uniforms, with green gloves, boots, gas masks and helmets, and of course red guns… Don't tell me I'm the only only one who sees it. |
