This saw a relatively unsupported but tough platoon of British airborne up against a platoon of Panzergrenadiers, supported by a Stug. This was my third game of CoC, but first WWII game with these rules, and I certainly came to appreciate the firepower offered by the German MG teams. British Paras are tough cookies however. The Stug looks good, and like the look of the table top, too. : ) |

I played the rules at a convention about 3 weeks ago for the first time. I was very disappointed. I love IABSM, but not sure about this set. In 9 turns, none of my units (1 inf. squad, 1 afv) fired a shot or moved that much due to the dice rolls. It seemed rather foolish to me that a platoon leader standing next to an afv could not use his command dice to order that afv to advance and support an infantry squad they could both see. I'll give them another try, but my first experience was not a good one. Yes, the Stug looks very much like one from Normandy that does not want to be noticed from above. |

This looks great and those are the fantastic Britannia figs if I'm not mistaken?? I've collected loads of 28mm WW2 but in a moment of clarity I have realised that, yes you are right, 20mm is the one true scale for WW2!!! As for the platoon commander -maybe the AFV crew couldn't or wouldn't hear him. |

Oddball, why on earth were you playing with one squad and one AFV? That isn't a typical force in CoC. Even so. You should have been able to activate just about all of the time with a force that size. Was this a case of playing at a Con where other people took the dice instead of you? |
