Hi, all. Does anyone know of or have a recommendation for a decent D&D type of splatbook that focuses primarily on village/country settings? I have an old "City Sites" D&D book but it's not quite what I'm looking for. My little adventuring party is heading into a woodsy area where there are ample streams, a large river, and several small villages and hamlets so I'm looking for something to help me ramp up some flavor in those locales quickly. Thanks for your help! |

These are no splatbooks, but there are tons of resources for generating wilderness "stuff" for gaming. Here are a few resources for you to get started with hexcrawling ;) link link Do a google for hexcrawl and you will be up to your armpits in tables and lists that will help you put some spice into the wilderness for your players! :) -Mike |

Thanks dragon6 and Ravenseye. I was kind of looking for something where I wouldn't have to work my voodoo with generators, tables, etc. etc. etc. I did wind up spending some time on the almighty Google the other night though and came up with some neat finds: Towns of the outlands: Six populated villages for use with all FRP systems. Paperback – January 1, 1981 by Richard A Edwards (Author) link Raging Swan's GM's Miscellany: Village Backdrops Broadhurst, Creighton J. E. link The Book of Lairs (Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Official Game Accessory, REF3, No. 9177) link The Book of Lairs II (Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Official Game Accessory, REF4, No. 9198) link |
