I've posted a short battle report of our first attempt at a game of kings of war.the photos aren't fantastic and we got a few rules wrong here and there but it was a good little test game! link |

Thanks for the report. My gaming group is just starting KoW. I tried to convince them to do it in 10mm since we all have a number of 10mm warmaster fantasy armies. But they're insistent on 28mm. Did you have to do anything special for using 10mm? Did you just used 1 stand for each level of unit size (troop vs regiment) & a 2nd stand side by side to represent hordes? |

For troops we use 60x30, so regiments are 60x60 and hordes 120x60. I've actually mounted the hordes on one single 120x60 base for ease of movement and because there is no figure removal I got to do little dioramas on each one! So for warmaster you could just use 40x20 for troops,40x40 for regiments and then 4 bases together for hordes 80x40. |

Thanks, that's what I figured. |

The game looks fantastic, it really looks like a much bigger battle when compared to a 28mm game with the same number of miniatures on the table. I hope it was fun? I'm curious how the rules coped with the smaller unit footprints, were there any glaring issues? |

@hybrid It was very fun and we didn't notice any difference whatsoever with the smaller footprint. we used the same measurements (inches) as outlined in the rules and it worked fine! |

Good to hear that it was a fun game and I'm pleased that the unmodified rules work with the smaller unit footprint. That keeps things nice and simple. |
