Crusader makes three trooper figures mounted. Anyone else? I'm actually looking for "command" figures (at least an officer and a bugler). Thanks in advance!

I don't know how you feel about conversions, but Warlord Games do a Polish Cavalry command pack: link The bugler even has an Adrian helmet already.

You could have a look at the manufacturers on this list who make WW2 stuff…..

Thread of the waking dead? War Thread Z? That's about the oldest thread I've seen renewed on TMP!

Now to that topic of French cavalry… I suppose it may depend in part on what kind of French cavalry you wish to field.

28mm is not my scale, but at 6mm I've long held the ambition of fielding some French Spahi's as part of my North African forces. I got some Cossack cavalry in my "to be painted" box that I acquired years back intending to kit-bash them into turban/cheche wearing Spahis d'Oran or Spahis Marocains.

Should have put them in the "ambitious ideas I'll never get to" box. Or maybe that IS the box they're in, with all the other stuff…

Gringo40s offers some nice Spahi figures:

They do both 40mm and 28mm stuff, but I do not see where/how to identify which scale these are. They're part of the Indochina 1885 forces, so probably not reasonable for WW2 anyway, but I bet they'd be fun to paint up!

Good luck and I'll watch to see what else is suggested.

Warlord do a pack of 3, plus dismounted equivalents, so that is 6 French cavalry available in 28mm!

So it looks like Crusader and Warlord are the only two options at the moment then?

Yes as far as I can see. There was a company with plans to do lots of WW2 Cavalry types that ran a KS, but I think they shut down after doing the KS pledges. It was proving a lot more hassle than they expected.
